A new modification to the Scorpion-3
#hoverbike was successfully put on the trials in
#Russia. The new model has a strengthened design, upgraded software and bigger propellers. Several hoverbikes have already been bought by the Dubai police and over 3500 flying bikes have been preordered from around the world.
The Scorpion-3 is able to reach a maximum speed of 96 km/h and can fly for 40 minutes. Unlike earlier versions the S-3 hoverbike is easy to drive, and it is globally competitive too. In a future this vehicle could solve the problem of traffic jams in big cities, and right now it is essential for the police and medical services. So it's no wonder why the Dubai police department bought the first few hoverbikes.
The main office of the Russian start-up in Moscow, while the testing grounds in the US, as the company is trying to get permission to sell on the American market that's going international. Mass production of the flying bikes hasn’t been started yet, however over 3500 units have been pre-ordered that's far.
Hoverbikes are as highly reliable and safe as any other Russian-made machine. It has an automatic object avoidance system, an automatic emergency landing system and a ballistic parachute, that will open in case of high-altitude failure. The new models are equipped with propeller protection to ensure the pilot’s safety. The flying bike is designed by engineers that used to work in Russia’s leading aerospace engineering departments and technical institutes.
The company also developed a cargo drone and an aero-taxi, which you'll get to see in some of our upcoming videos.
