Friday night was a memorable occasion for all at St Columbkille's Church Rutherglen. The church was packed for the conclusion of their parish mission led by Fr Kieran Brady CSsR and Fr Tom MacCarte CSsR of St Mary's Kinnoull Monastery & Retreat.
The service was topped off when parishioner Michael McGrath was awarded a Papal Knighthood by Bishop Joe Toal of the Diocese of Motherwell and Parish Priest Fr Pat Hennessy.
Later there was a ceilidh in the hall and Sancta Familia Media caught up with a range of parishioners to hear their views of a wonderful night and week.
